Book with confidence.
Here's exactly how your payment is protected, how we verify hosts, and what happens if something goes wrong. No legalese, no fine print.
1. Your payment is safe
Your card details never touch EventSpace servers. We use Stripe — the same payment processor trusted by Amazon, Shopify, Google, Lyft, and millions of other businesses — to handle every transaction. When you click "Pay", you're sent directly to Stripe's checkout. We only ever receive a secure token that lets us charge (with your permission) — not the card number itself.
- 256-bit SSL encryption on every page of the site, including this one. Look for the padlock in your browser's address bar.
- PCI-DSS compliant via Stripe. This is the highest standard the payment card industry requires.
- No card data storage on our servers. We keep a Stripe customer ID; Stripe keeps the actual card details, locked in their vault.
- Apple Pay & Google Pay supported. If your bank supports them, you can pay without ever entering a card number manually.
2. Every host is verified
We verify every host before their listing goes public. Not just a box-tick — real checks against real data.
- Email & phone verified. Two-factor contact means we can reach every host, and they can't sign up with a throwaway address.
- Government ID checked via Stripe Identity. Hosts upload a photo ID and a selfie; Stripe's ML system verifies they match. Fakes are rejected.
- Manual listing review before publication. Every new listing is reviewed by our team before it appears in search. We check photos, description, and address match.
- Reviews from real, completed bookings only. No fake reviews — only guests who actually paid and attended can leave one. You'll see a "Verified booking" badge on every review.
3. Cancellations & refunds
Every listing has a cancellation policy set by the host. The policy is shown clearly on the listing page AND on your booking page. Three options:
Full refund up to 24 hours before the event.
Full refund up to 7 days before. 50% refund up to 48 hours.
50% refund up to 14 days before. No refund after that.
If a host cancels on you, you get a full refund regardless of policy — always. We also help you find an alternative venue fast.
If your booking needs host approval (some listings require it, others are Instant Book) and the host declines or doesn't respond within 24 hours, the hold on your card is automatically released. You are never charged unless the host accepts.
4. Disputes & damage claims
If you're a guest and something at the venue isn't as described, or the host doesn't let you in:
- Message the host first — most issues resolve in minutes.
- If not, open a chat with EventSpace support — we can reach the host, help you find alternatives, or issue a refund.
- Don't leave the venue without contacting us first — that preserves your refund eligibility.
Security deposits are a card hold, not a charge. Hosts can only claim against the hold if they file a specific damage claim with evidence after the event. If they do, you'll get an email with the details and can dispute it — our team reviews every disputed claim. Worst case, we side with the guest if evidence is weak.
5. Getting help, fast
Live chat on every page. Click the chat bubble bottom-right — you're talking to our real team, not a bot. Response time is typically under 10 minutes during waking hours.
For everything else, email us at info@events-spaces.com. If it's an active emergency on the day of your event, use the "Contact Support" button on your booking page — it flags the issue as urgent and jumps you to the front of the queue.
6. Your data & privacy
We collect only what we need. Name, email, phone, and (for guests who book) government ID for verification. That's it. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with third parties except what's strictly required to run the platform:
- Stripe processes payments. They see your card, not us.
- Stripe Identity verifies IDs. ID photos are deleted from our system after verification — only a pass/fail flag remains.
- Resend sends our emails. Email content flows through them; contents stay between you and your host.
- Hosts see the minimum needed. Before booking: your profile name + verification status. After you book and pay: your email so they can message you about the event. Never your card, address, or any financial info.
